Tupper Lake, New York—In the Heart of the Adirondacks

Tupper Lake is situated in the heart of the six million acre Adirondack Park. Easy to reach at the crossroads of Route 30 and Route 3, Tupper Lake features a gentle rolling landscape of mountains, hills, lakes, ponds, and streams. The town sits on the shore of nine-mile long Tupper Lake with its distinct history of Adirondack pioneers, logging, and Adirondack guides. Today, Tupper Lake features a mixture of businesses, including lumbering and hospitality, which gives the town a distinct flavor.

The town features a lakeside public park and several local events, including the annual Woodsmen Field Days festival where lumberjack skills are on display every July. Additional events include cultural festivities, athletic competitions, and ongoing activities that are widely attended by visitors and locals. Whether you are a canoe racer, veteran triathlete racing in the annual Tin Man event, fisherman, skier, or golfer there is plenty happening in Tupper Lake.

Tupper Lake is also now home to The Wild Center, a new natural history museum that focuses on wildlife within the Adirondack Park. The museum features live Adirondack animals, birds, amphibians, and fish, as well as native plants and flowers. Exhibits include an indoor waterfall and river, towering glacial ice wall, high-definition films and wide-screen theater set on a 31-acre campus.
